DISCOVER HOW CATCHY OUR SINKING SPIN FLIES ARE
Insect larvae and other small prey are an extremely important food source for many different fish species, as they are available all year round and relatively easy to grapple. This easy to source food source is also attractive for larger fish, meaning that you can also make nice catches with comparatively small lures - provided you can fool the fish with the matching imitation.
GREAT IMITATIONS, HIGH QUALITY AND 100% HANDMADE
Our sinking spin flies are created by the skilful and experienced hands of our professional and long-standing lure makers. Only first-class materials are used, and attention is paid to even the smallest details such as coloured hotspots or finely ribbed bodies. Legs and tails ensure a very natural silhouette and movement, making the lures appear even more lively. Special skill is required to give these spin flies the most natural proportions possible despite the additional weighting for the required casting weight.
This way, small works of art are created on the hook that not only look extremely realistic but are also easy to fish and extremely catchy.
SO SIMPLE, SO CATCHY
You don't need complicated rigs to fish very effectively with our sinking spin flies. Thanks to their compact dimensions and surprisingly high weight for their size, you can cast them easily and accurately with a light spinning rod. They also sink very quickly towards the bottom of the water on a thin leader. We recommend fluorocarbon for this, as its higher specific weight compared to nylon makes it easier for the spin flies to sink and this material is also less visible under water.
The easiest way to fish these catchy lures is to tie them to the end of the leader and guide it along the slightly taut line over the bottom. Don't worry, the use of hooks with an angled eye ensures that these lures are fished with the hook pointing upwards, which significantly reduces snags. You can simply let your lure drift with the current in the stream or river, just as the real insect larvae are carried along by the current.
By adding another spin fly to the short side arm, you not only increase the casting weight and therefore your range, but also the effectiveness, as you fish one spin fly at the bottom of the water and another just above it, thus covering a larger water column. This allows you to fish the water very systematically and you will be amazed at how many fish you catch with these great lures.
