DRESSED SINGLE HOOKS
The dressing turns these hooks into fully-fledged fishing lures
DRESSED SINGLE HOOKS
CATCHIER AND SAFER
The single hook on artificial lures is becoming increasingly popular. Fisheries managers around the world rule them to promote more sustainable fishing. Particularly in natural stocks with a high proportion of young fish or the presence of rare, endangered or protected fish species, handling the fish using single hooks, especially if they are barbless, is in many cases much easier, quicker and therefore ultimately gentler on the fish. A barbless hook is ultimately also safer for yourself. Anyone who has ever tried to pull a barbed hook out of their finger can tell you a thing or two about this.
But this is not the only reason why more and more anglers are opting for single hooks and fishing with them out of conviction, regardless of local regulations or safety considerations. This is because they realise that they don't catch any less fish than before but enjoy fishing more thanks to the easier handling of the fish. This trend can also be seen on the market. The number of lures that are already offered with single hooks ex works or that come with single hooks for replacement is growing from year to year.
You can play it safe with our dressed single hooks, because we only use hooks of the highest quality from Japanese production for all our models. Super sharp, durable, with large eyelets for mounting on split rings and with a special barbless hook shape that lets you quickly forget the barb.
CAN GOOD ARTIFICIAL LURES BE MADE EVEN BETTER? WE THINK: YES!
Our dressed single hooks are so attractive on their own that they also bring in fish when fished solo (i.e. without any artificial lures). In combination with your best artificial lures, they become real catching machines. The additional visual stimulus of these appealing dressed single hooks complements the existing attraction of your lures and entices even the most cautious fish to take the tuned lure. These eye-catching dressed single hooks also mark the ideal bite point for the fish to aim at. The result: more takes that you can turn into catches!
THE RIGHT HOOK FOR EVERY LURE
In our online shop, you will find the matching dressed single hook for every type of artificial lure, as we offer hooks with both eye positions. You can easily view the relevant models using the corresponding filter function:
Single hooks with an eye that lies in the plane of the hook bend: we recommend this type for use on your minnow-shaped hardbaits, as the single hook stays in the vertical plane of the lure when mounted with one split ring and does not influence the natural play of your lure to one side.
Single hooks with an eye at an angle of 90° to the hook bend: these are particularly suitable for spoons or similar artificial lures in terms of shape and use. This position of the eye means that the hook is at a 90° angle to the plane of the spoon when mounted with one split ring. This keeps the hook-up ratio as high as usual.
If you want to fish inline spinners with single hooks, then you should go with good reason for dressed models. Not only because these eye-catching dressed single hooks optimally complement the range of attraction of your lure. But also, because the dressing stabilises the single hook despite the spin of this type of lures and prevents it from fluttering uncontrollably. A more stable single hook also significantly increases the hook-up ratio compared to a naked and fluttering single hook.
There are many good reasons for using our dressed single hooks, as you are not simply replacing one hook with another. With our dressed hook models, you are relying on an absolute quality product in every respect, as each individual dressing is made entirely by hand using the best materials. This adds even more value to your lure. Try it out, you'll notice the difference... and wonder why you didn't choose them sooner.
