The fishing hook is probably the most crucial piece of tackle, because no matter what type of fishing you are passionate about, you will hardly catch a fish without mounting a hook. The hook is fundamental, because it is the direct link between you and the fish. It must grip in the fish's mouth immediately when it takes the bait and hold it reliably without breaking or bending open during the fight so that you can land your catch safely. Admittedly, that's a bold claim. But during the many tests of our dressed hooks on the water, we were actually able to determine an extremely high level of catching success. Because even when we fished our dressed hooks without having them attached to any lure, we were able to catch fish with them. Almost impossible when trying that with a bare hook.

Not only the number of takes, but also the hook-up ratio was absolutely convincing. With the single hooks in particular, we noticed that they don't flutter as much on spinners and spoons thanks to the dressing and therefore grip better and more securely when the fish takes the lure.
