The landing net PROTECT by hotfly superb has an aluminium frame which provides stability at low weight. The net of the landing net is made of a soft rubber material, which is robust and flexible at the same time, so that the sensitive skin of the fish is protected. In addition, the hooks of your artificial flies are much easier to untangle from a rubber net than from a fabric net. All this helps you to land the fish gently and release it as quickly as possible. A rubber net also does not absorb water. Therefore, it dries in no time and accordingly it does not give off any unpleasant odours.
The handle of the landing net is made of EVA foam, which is comfortable and safe to grip even with wet hands. Due to the low weight and buoyancy of the EVA handle, the PROTECT wading net floats. At the rear end of the handle, there is a carabiner attached to an elastic band that allows you to quickly and easily attach the landing net to your fly vest. The elastic band disappears inside the landing net handle when retracted, so it cannot get tangled in the shore vegetation.
The landing net has an overall length of approx. 61 cm with a landing net opening of approx. 34.5 x 43 cm. The net depth is approx. 30 cm. This means that the PROTECT aluminium landing net is primarily designed for catching medium-sized fish.
