The OCEAN DEMI BROWN polarised sunglasses by aqua have been developed for demanding anglers who want to stay in full control even in strong lateral light and changing conditions. A classic design is combined with well-thought-out technical features that offer real advantages when fly fishing.
With their rounded lens shape and comparatively large lenses, they are particularly well suited to medium to large faces, providing a wide and comfortable field of view.
REMOVABLE MAGNETIC SIDE SHIELDS – FLEXIBLE GLARE PROTECTION
A key feature of the OCEAN DEMI BROWN is the set of fabric-covered magnetic side shields. Positioned at the outer angles of the frame, they are secured in place by an integrated magnetic system.
They attach firmly with gentle pressure and can be removed just as easily. With the side shields mounted, lateral light is significantly reduced. Without them, the sunglasses take on a more classic appearance, making them equally suitable for everyday wear.
VENTILATION SYSTEM TO REDUCE FOGGING
Ventilation slots integrated into the upper and lower sections of the frame promote air circulation and help minimise lens fogging – particularly in humid conditions, temperature changes or during active movement on the water.
POLARISED LENSES – CLEAR VISION IN ALL LIGHT CONDITIONS
All versions of the OCEAN DEMI BROWN are equipped with polarised lenses. The polarising filter reduces glare from reflected light on the water’s surface, providing a clearer and more contrast-rich view.
You are able to spot fish, underwater structures and depth variations more easily, maintain better control of your drift and reduce eye strain in bright sunlight. All lenses offer 100% UV protection.
FOUR LENS COLOURS FOR DIFFERENT LIGHT CONDITIONS
The OCEAN DEMI BROWN is available in four lens colours, designed to match the varying light conditions encountered in fly fishing:
Yellow – Lens category 2 (medium tint)
Ideal in low light, overcast conditions or during early morning and late evening hours. Yellow lenses enhance contrast and make underwater details stand out more clearly.
Brown – Lens category 3 (dark tint)
A versatile option for sunny days. Brown lenses increase contrast while maintaining natural colour perception.
Grey – Lens category 3 (dark tint)
Reduces brightness evenly without significantly altering colours. Particularly comfortable in strong sunlight.
Blue mirrored – Lens category 3 (dark tint, mirrored)
The mirror coating reflects part of the incoming light and further reduces glare in very bright conditions, such as on still waters or wide rivers.
Note on lens categories: Lens categories (1–4) indicate the level of light transmission and therefore the intensity of the tint. Category 2 represents a medium tint, while category 3 is a darker tint suitable for bright sunlight. All versions provide full UV protection.
BASE CURVE 8 – INCREASED WRAP AND COVERAGE
The base curve 8 refers to the more pronounced curvature of the lenses. Compared to flatter lens designs, it provides enhanced wrap-around coverage and improved side protection. In combination with the removable side shields, this results in particularly effective protection against stray light.

Like all aqua models, the OCEAN DEMI BROWN is manufactured in Italy, reflecting precise craftsmanship and high quality standards in eyewear production.
The TR90 nylon frame in classic Demi Brown combines high flexibility with low weight. At just 25 g, the sunglasses remain comfortable even during long days on the water.
Hypoallergenic rubber inserts on the bridge and on the inner rear sections of the temple tips ensure a secure fit, even during movement or in humid conditions.
The OCEAN DEMI BROWN comes supplied with a microfibre pouch, which can also be used as a cleaning cloth for the lenses.
