By now everyone knows the quality of Andrew's wading boots. For several years now they have been the number one choice for many fly and spinning fishermen throughout Europe. They are perfectly suited to tackling the most difficult and technical terrain without any failure, even in the long run. The only weakness they had was that they could not be used in saltwater fishing, due to the fact that the salt would ruin the metal parts with time.

With the specially designed and developed Andrew MAREA wading boots, there are no longer any limits for the high-performance boot made in Italy! In fact, thanks to clever adaptations, the Andrew MAREA are specially designed for saltwater use and offer the sea angler the same performance as the freshwater angler. Please note, they are not only designed for saltwater but can also perfectly be used in freshwater!

TECHNICAL FEATURES

The MAREA wading boot inherits all the smart solutions and details from previous versions and introduces functional modifications for saltwater use. For example, the metal easy roller lace loops have been removed and replaced with fabric loops to prevent them from rusting or corroding.

The upper fabric has been replaced and in addition to being perfectly resistant to saltwater it offers good cut and abrasion resistance. This is very useful if you have to walk on cliffs, for example, which can often have very sharp rocks.

The structure of the MAREA wading boot is quite rigid and this allows you to keep your ankle firmly in place, preventing you from getting unpleasant sprains when walking or jumping from one rock to another. However, the padding around the ankle is generous and therefore very comfortable.

The anti-cut rubber foxing stripe protects the vamp very well, as that is a particularly stressed and shock-prone point. What at first glance might appear to be a manufacturing defect is actually not, and we are referring to those 2 mm of glue that protrude the foxing stripe. This excess glue serves to prevent the edge of the foxing stripe from coming off over time. It goes without saying that it is better to have a little excess glue than to buy boots that come undone after half a fishing season.

SPECIAL WET GRIP SOLE

The MAREA wading boots are equipped as well with the innovative and high-performance Wet Grip sole. This sole is made of a fairly soft rubber compound that generates surprising good grip on all surfaces. Despite this, its durability is truly remarkable, and it will maintain its performance characteristics for a long time and in any temperature, whether hot or cold. Compared to the previous versions, the Wet Grip sole is slightly wider, giving you a larger footprint on the ground with a consequent increase in grip.

You can choose from 4 different sole types:

• Rubber
• Rubber + studs
• Rubber + felt
• Rubber + felt + studs

If you decide to mount the studs yourself, the operation will be very simple because the positions of the studs are already indicated in the sole profile. In any case, you can buy wading boots with the studs already mounted.

With proper use we are sure that your MAREA wading boot will accompany you for many years on your fishing adventures and for this reason we offer a resole service for all Andrew boots.

The wading boots come with a small pouch containing 2 D-rings.
They are used to create a secure attachment point for the gravel guard hook of your waders.

Installation:

• Remove the laces from your wading boot.
• Thread the laces through the fabric loop attached to the D-ring.
• Re-lace the boot as usual.

Correct positioning:

• Put on your waders and wading boots.
• Pull the gravel guards down over the boots.
• Check where the gravel guard hook naturally rests on the boot.
• Attach the D-ring slightly below that point.

This creates a slight tension once the gravel guard is hooked in, ensuring it stays securely and reliably in place at all times.
