Stroft's NiTi POLYWIRE is a flexible predator leader made from a premium nickel-titanium alloy consisting of multiple ultra-fine strands. This twisted construction provides the Polywire with exceptional flexibility while maintaining high bite resistance – ideal for demanding situations when fishing for pike, zander or big perch. One key advantage: the material is super elastic and always returns to its original shape after heavy bends or deformation – without leaving permanent kinks.

CLINCH KNOT? NO PROBLEM!

One of the great benefits of Stroft NiTi POLYWIRE is its easy knotability. In thinner diameters (e.g. 0.20–0.30 mm), this predator leader can be easily tied using a classic clinch knot with 4 turns – with no need for sleeves or special tools. This also eliminates the risk of weakening the material due to over-crimping. For thicker diameters, the use of crimp sleeves is possible – ideally with smoothed inner edges and reinforced with heat-shrink tubing for added protection. This helps preserve the breaking strength even under heavy load.

VERSATILE & DISCREET

Thanks to its low-reflection, matte carbon-black surface, the leader remains almost invisible in the water – ideal for wary predators. At the same time, the material offers a gentle elastic stretch (~8%), which significantly improves hook-up rates. Another advantage is its low tendency to unravel, which is especially practical when handling the leader at the water’s edge. A drop of super glue can help secure loose strand ends, or, as mentioned earlier, you can use heat-shrink tubing.

This keeps your leader material clean and organized, preventing it from unspooling or tangling.
